Hi everyone,
I am a total Noob of keyboards and midi.
I am trying to use a Roland A-500 Pro that I got from a friend with garageband but I was only able to male work it only once.
I try to explain myself: I can actually play and use the wheel, but I cannot use the controllers like PLAY, RECORD, AND STOP nor the PADS.
It's seems like the controller is not fully recognized.
I would have give up but using those functions but yesterday I plugged-in and for some reason every was working perfectly, today NOPE, I tried everything, from reinstalling the drivers to use the A-PRO editor to load up new mid mapping, I tried factory reset.
Still nothing.
I have not clue of what I'm doing wrong.

I am on a Mojaves os.

Is here anyone brave and patient enough that can try to help me out?

Welcome.

You are correct the Mac is not configured correctly but to configure it is straightforward but one thing I am not sure about is if all this will work in Mojave.

Try this

and try using this control surface plug in

There is another option but I will need to be on our Mac to write it up so see how you go with this for now
