ASR 10 Ensoniq sampler

Kurzweil k2600 - but you have to get the sampling option. not as user friendly as asr-10. but the build quality is much better and the keybed is very good, but doesn't support poly AT.
if someone decided to reverse engineer the asr-10 to make it a vst module, they could make some money. one guy tried to crowd fund the idea, but never got anywhere with the funding. too bad.

What about Fantom or Nautilus?

Recommending a 25 year old board ain't gonna help no one. :p

If you want new, then the k2700. I'm not a big fan of Roland or korg, not saying they're bad , just never got into them . Yamaha has several great workstations as well. Both the kurzweil and Ensoniq fx's are studio quality, that still seem to outshine many others. Kurzweil is still putting out keyboards, and their quality is as good as Yamaha. But most good daw on a laptop with a good controller will be as good or better because of GUI. I have both.
If you can borrow or rent out something for a week to see if it fits you would be money well spent .
