Once you've experienced the comfort of controlling your keyboard with a foot controller while playing, you won’t want to go without it. I’ve slightly modified an affordable Behringer controller, and there are two ways to program it: manually or via free software. I’d like to share both methods with you—maybe it's useful for
you!
My modified Pedal, more compact.
Programming the Behringer MIDI Foot Controller manualy:
- Select the bank to be programmed using the UP/DOWN buttons.
- Choose the footswitch to program (1–10).
- Press and hold DOWN for 2 seconds → Confirm with UP/ENTER.
- Briefly press Footswitch 10 (it will start blinking) → Confirm with UP/ENTER.
- Enter the MIDI note code using buttons 1–10 (e.g., C0 = 24 like in my Layout) → UP/ENTER.
- Press and hold DOWN for 2 seconds to save.
