I went to go play my piano and when I play certain notes on the left side of the piano it plays two notes. If I play the other note it was playing, it also plays two notes. I have played all the notes and there are 3 sets of notes that play. 2 of the 3 sets will only play two notes for a second then go back to 1 note. I have looked at the manual for my model and have tried to factory reset it but it doesn’t help. I have tried to turn on and of ACCOMP but that doesn’t help either. I don’t want to have to take the piano apart but I’m not sure what else to do. Anyone have ideas?

Hi Tomasa

I don't know anything about Casio, but after reading your post I wonder if your keyboard is using One Finger chord Mode for your left hand?

Check your CHORD settings for how it's set up for playing Chords.

Some people just use one or two fingers to play chords, and most keyboards these days can be set to do that.

Just a thought, but it may well be the reason.

I would think most players here would use Full Fingered mode on their keyboards as we often play 3 and 4 finger chords and accompaniments using all our fingers

DON'T take your keyboard apart.

Is the keyboard midi'd via a usb or midi port to anything external? Disconnect all midi and usb port connections from the keyboard and see if the symptom goes away.

Hi,

Did by any chance sometime some kind of liquid fell on the keys? Or perhaps you have a cat inside that could have possibly (you unknowingly) wetted the keys?

I recommend you contact a Casio Service Center and ask them or from where you bought it. They should be able to help you. There is nothing you can do if you open it and could only make matters worse.

Good luck.
