I have a Casio LK-270 keyboard and no matter what SD card I put in it, it will fail to format the card. I've tried 16 GB cards 4 GB cards and even 64 GB cards, none of them work. Im beginning to think that the card reader in the keyboard is faulty, although i'm not sure.

can you plug in the piano to a laptop and play midi from the laptop to the piano?

Some older keyboards maxed out at a 1 GB SD card.

When you think of it, that's a hell of a lot of MIDI files.

1 GB cards are tough to find these days but not impossible.

Check around at local camera shops. They still make them for older digital cameras.

You could try to partition one of the SD cards you have to create a 1Gb partition, format it and then try it in your keyboard.

Free software is available to download that will make partitioning easier.
