Friends, what is your experience whit AI?
I'm thrilled how good is it, the best user manual ever.
Yesterday , I was ringing my friend in New Zealand ( +10 hours from CET) to understand how to load combis in Korg M3, in the desired bank.
He was just preparing for work, so we couldn't finish "the consultation."

Today, I asked Chat GPT - and it gave me all the answers.
Not frustrating like the manuals, "go to page 147 ...for this check page 222"

So I liked my experience, but I'd like to know, what are yours? Maybe we can make a better usage of AI?

I have got no idea what this thread is about!
I see a reference to Korg synths.
Should it be in the Korg forum?
Maybe I am missing something. What is AI?

Artificial Intelligence

Had no idea it could help in that way but TBH I'm a little scared to try talking to it. :D

I too fear of the potential misuse of AI engines around the world today.

Aside from the obvious data harvesting and privacy issues, the military research in the field scares the bejeezus out of me.

Trust me, the Pentagon cannot afford to mothball it as long as the Russians and Chinese are actively pursuing it.

Next generation AI will have as much in common with us as we do with sewer rats. :p

Hi

I believe we all have problems finding solutions form the user manuals.
No matter, Korg, or Kurzweil or Casio.
At least, I find them completely user "unfriendly".
So , I asked Chat GPT "How to...?" and it gave me the answers.
That's all.

Hi , doesn’t always get it right.
My son was raving about how great it was.
How you can give it a subject, it can give you heaps of info.
Asked him if he’d ever asked it about something , that literally only had one answer.
He asked it about the online travel blog he writes.
It attributed to someone else.
I couldn’t stop laughing, he was apoplectic. Haha

Great it was able to help with your Korg m3 problem.

As an old guy when out or seeing younger generation or with younger family they all have one thing in common, a smartphone glued to their hands, whatever they want is at their fingertips, that is very scary.

Grandson is addicted to Toctik of WFT its called, he is forever asking questions about this and that because what he has learned and believes in is plain error strewn.

I am fully convinced people are getting dumber by the generation (sorry youngers, but thats the way I see it).

AI, another method of data mining and control by the proletariat.

This is an example of why I grind my teeth whenever someone asks a question and someone else replies with "Google is your friend." I mean, yes, the gist of that response is that people should learn how to do their own research-- or, as one of my teachers once said, "You need to learn how to learn," which is ideally what teachers teach their students how to do. But the problem is that there is so much garbage on the internet, because any idiot can post any idiocy on it, either deliberately as a form of misinformation, or unintentionally out of simple error or misunderstanding. "Google is your friend" seems to imply that you can put your trust in whatever information happens to pop up in response to your search queries, which is unwise at best. And all AI basically does is scrape information off of the web, collect it together, and regurgitate it in response to your queries. It might give you the perfect answer, or it might give you utter garbage.
