CLP - 260 Sustain Pedal Help

Hi guys.

I have recently purchased a second hand Clavinova CLP - 260 and have bought a sustain pedal for it too.

The sustain pedal uses standard issue 1.4" audio jack however there is not a port for this. What are my options regarding an adaptor as i would really like to connect this up?

The CLP-260 has MIDI IN so you can attach a sustain pedal to a MIDI connector; here's one:

MIDI Solutions Footswitch Controller; General Purpose Input to MIDI

You would program the above unit to send CC#64 (sustain) to the unit via MIDI. When you press the sustain pedal down it will send a sustain on message and when you release the footswitch it will transmit a sustain off message.
