Hey all, I'm new here, and a bit behind the 8 ball...
I have a concert tonight and trying to work out a tech problem....
I'm playing a Yamaha C5 acoustic grand with Disclavier DKC 850 control unit...
And sending a MIDI cable out from there, into my old workhorse a Yamaha PSR 3000.
The problem is when I connect the PSR, the only sound I can get from it is acoustic piano (all the "Part" buttons, Left, Right 1, Right 2 - are not functional to select a different voice.... but I'm trying to have it play an electric bass sound.
It worked find when I connected the MIDI IN to a Korg Kronos - so a friend thought it had something to do with the MIDI filter on the PSR. I don't have time to dig through the manual today, but hoping one of you wizards had perhaps encountered the same issue and could lend a hand.
There's a "MIDI" page (where the answer may lie) from the global page...but the on screen buttons don't offer much help or allow navigation to jump to various settings.
