I mean, possibly with a midi hub. But the PSRsx600 uses the same sound library (but with a latin/Brazil pack pre installed); but you'd still need to use a midi hub.

The PS500 will give you a *much* richer sound, btw. (same sound library as CVP705/CSP170)

If you were to:
1) connect the midi out of one to the midi in of the other
2) set both units to the same midi channel, i.e. send and receive on the same midi channel
3) set both units to the same program
4) ensure local is on on the keyboard where the midi out originates
5) have both units' audio lines plug into a speaker

When you play the one keyboard (the keyboard attached to the midi out) you will hear both keyboards playing at the same time and since each keyboard is set to the same program each keyboard will play the program as if you were playing both keyboards at the same time with two different hands. Whether or not that will make the outputted sound you hear to be "richer" is a whole different story. Probably not.

Does the DGX have MIDI DIN Ports? I think not.

You'd require a computer, or a tablet, or a module running a USB MIDI Host/Routing program in order to accomplish what Dave describes.

Seriously though, the end result will be nothing more than stereo unless you shaped the individual sounds with various FX or detuning.

And this principle of layering multiple sounds with multiple synths has been around as long s the MIDI interface has existed.

Ask google if you have any other questions about MIDI and what it's capable of doing.
