I'm looking to get a desktop synth to learn subtractive synthesis on, as well as other things, so something that is 'traditionally' laid out. Again, desktop, don't need keyboard as I have enough of those.
The Behringer Pro 1 looks ideal, but I don't want this as Behringer are unreliable and build quality is hardly Moog. So what I want is a 'proper' version of the Behringer Pro 1, by another company, but this kind of thing if that makes sense. Budget £1,000.
Oh, if it does superb deep fat bass sounds that would be a bonus. But main criteria is to learn about synthesiser patch-making techniques hence the traditional common layout with all the typical 'synth' controls in place and laid out in a traditional logical order.
Cheers, guys.
