So far, the drum sets in the Kronos sound terrible! I’m doing pop/classic rock music and can’t find a decent drum set. It’s all super processed, or synthed out… like they were overthinking it at Korg.
I certainly hope I’m missing something, but I just dropped big$$$ on a Kronos and I’m in the process of integrating it into my show to replace my Triton Le…
I run a laptop with Cakewalk for a MIDI show. I was using a MIDIman midisport 4X4 to split the signals to my equipment.
Port 1 assigned info to the Triton le, port 2 was assigned to my lighting controller, port 3 sends info for vocal harmonies (t.c. Helicon Perform VK, and port 4 operates a Roland JV 1080 used strictly for drums.
I kept the JV because drums sound better than the Triton’s drums.
I’m still climbing the steeeeep and long learning curve, but can I eventually create my own drum set with drum sounds that are useful for what I’m doing?
For now, I’m sticking with the Roland drums.
Thanks!
Dave
