My simple suggestion to manufacturers: All synths under 10 lbs should include locking guitar strap posts (either optional attachments, or hidden under a flap, or pop-ups).
Manufacturers could sell the same unit into two markets: workstations and keytars. Easy money for them!

I got tired of waiting, and modified my Korg KROSS1 to be just that.

Yeah, the lack of strap locks on a Kross seems like a silly missed opportunity. I felt the same about the Korg Microstation. I really like the Roland AX-Edge (esp. with having aftertouch, and now they're adding zen-core patch compatibility with their other boards), but compared to a Kross, it does limit you to 49 keys, and in general, its long stalk and odd jutting shapes make it (and its carrying case) unnecessarily larger/heavier. Hard to set down on its edge, too. They all make unfortunate decisions. ;-)
