How to adjust main instrument volume when recording

Noticed when recording piano with voice, piano is too loud. How do I lower the piano volume when recording and keep the voice volume high?

Recording it into what? Is there software that you are using? Provide some more details about your setup so that we understand and can answer your question.

I may be wrong but I think that your DGX can record an analogue audio file or a MIDI.

Have you tried recording a MIDI then importing it into a DAW and make the adjustment there.

I did look at the manualand in typical Yamaha style it does not give specifics.

You could also look in the Reference Manual which is a different download.
