How to learn a lot and fast? :-)

So I am watching a cool keyboard player on YT and it turns out he can play more than 50 pop songs ( complete ) and far many more partially ( main theme ). Don't tell me he learned them trough practice and sheet music! Spill your secrets guys! How to learn a lot and fast? Whats the trick? Tell me so I can join a band or or play live in a bar!

No the guy plays scores of pop melodies like its no big deal! He says he has a good ear. I have two of them but this doesn't help me a bit.
BTW these guys are amateurs for me. I know the C -> Am -> Dm -> G -> C chord progression.
