This is not really 'My Music' ... well, only in the sense that it's the kind of music that I like.
Here's Jo Stafford singing 'You belong to me':
The sheet music that I have is in Bb but can someone pse tell me in which key she's singing on this recording? It is also Bb?
Thanks in advance.

This recording is in F major, which is a 5th up from Bb (or a 4th down - same thing). The notes in that scale are F G A Bb C D E. Hope this helps. You can play it in Bb and have your instrument or software to transpose it as you play, or use something like Midikuper to do it for you.

OK and thanks for your help.
I thought it sounded strange when I tried to play along in Bb!
I'll transpose the chords first and see how it goes.

I like that tune too.
She has a deep voice.
Playing the the melody without vocal; one would substitute jo's words for notes. In the clip above there is not much going on musically.
Since her voice is deep I would tend to play it an octave higher *just a thought;)

Thanks for the additional comments.
Yes, for me it's the epitome of the '50s.
And 'the silver plane' must surely be the beautiful Super Constellation.
