JP-08 puzzling "light show"

My boutique JP-08 has been working fine for months and months, and still works OK, but just recently it has started doing what seems to be some kind of inactivity timeout. The Patch Number and Patch Preset lights start to play "fill up" and "deplete" patterns. If I touch a button or play a note the display goes back to normal.

I haven't done any updates. I can't find a setting in the joke of a "manual". Does anyone know how to stop this?

This JP-08 is sitting on a music stand next to other musicians and it's very irritating for them when it starts doing this.

An old and peculiar machine I know, but thanks if you have any ideas.

It's a timeout screensaver for your module. My Hydrasynth did the same thing and. the manual called it "casino lighting." There's a timeout setting for it somewhere in your unit.

Just scroll thru your options until you see something that looks like "screensave" or "timeout" or "inactivity timer."

Thanks. With your encouragement I trawled through all the settings again and found it!

For the JP-08 it's called LED DEMO (MANUAL+8).
