just purchased rd 800

Have played yahama's for years and love them. My latest and present is cp300.. I have a question. I use a second pedal on the 300 and use the split with bass on the lower split usually from F#2 down. the second pedal will sustain and resonate just as a separate bass quitar would as long as the pedal is pressed. I tape the two pedal together and position at and angle so that one foot will play both(heel and toe). Heel does the lower split and toe area does the rest of the keyboard. It works great. I am trying to get the rd 800 to do the same. How do I go about setting up the pedals internally to get this done,,,,,help.
