Keyboard and bass combo amplifier

Hi all, this is my first post here!

I play the keyboard and bass guitar, and at the moment I use a 30 watt Laney bass amp to amplify both. It sounds alright for bass but isn't very loud and it doesn't sound brilliant for keyboard, so I'm looking to get another amp for Christmas.

I'd like to get a keyboard amp that sounds nice with a bass guitar through it too, or vice versa, or even a combination amp if that exists. I'd like it to be more powerful than my current amp, maybe about 60 watts? My price range is max £200 GBP (about $320USD). I was thinking about the Roland KC150, does anyone have any experience or suggestions?

Thanks very much to everyone!

I use a Behringer K450FX 45 Watt Keyboard amp sometimes. Before I had that I picked up a used Peavy Bass Amp that worked pretty well but didn't really do justice to the high frequencies. Nowadays I just use a couple of M-Audio BX5 studio monitors for my home studio. I don't do professional gigging but I'd say get yourself a Behringer K450FX and stack it alongside your Laney. Use the one for keys and the other for bass and you should be able to make the ears bleed in any small room :)

Thanks for that happyrat but I was really after an amp that could cope with both instruments at different times because my Laney is confined to my bedroom so I'd like one amp which could amplify both with reasonable quality (but obviously not at the same time as I can't play both at once, yet :p)

Do you think the k450fx could be a bass amp too or are is that going beyond its call of duty?

I'd suggest looking into a power PA speaker that can accept a direct input without needing a mixer. A cabinet with 1 15" should give you the bottom end you need and the horn in the cabinet will give you the highs. Don

I agree with Don. No dedicated amp is going to give you full range sound except a proper PA or Studio Monitors.

I would look at powered speakers instead of a amp for the keyboard I purchase a berhinger 60 watts amps with mixer for about 179 dollars and wasvery disappointed in the sound with my keyboard I traded them in the next week and bought a set of alto sa110"s powered loudspeakers and what a difference that made the ability to handle bass and also hadle highs wth a lot of clearity and crisp sounds made my keyboard sound better
