Keyboard to record multiple tracks

I am looking for a keyboard with decent piano like action that I can record several tracks of 3-5 minutes long, then play it back so I can play along on my grand piano. I have only had basic keyboards in the past with good acoustic, electric sounds. Would the Roland FA-08 enable me to do this? Would any keyboard with a usb port allow me to do this? I don't want to have to hook the keyboard up to any external software, computer, etc. Please forgive my ignorance in this area. Thanks!

Look for any keyboard with an onboard sequencer. Not a Step Sequencer though. It has to be a proper multitrack sequencer.

Also a WAV recorder is a nice feature as well.

The FA-08 can do it all, but if all you plan to use it for is backing tracks you could just as easily use the FA-06 and save a bit of money.

After all, how often does a bassline extend for 7 - 1/2 octaves? ;)

Gary ;)
