Looking to purchase keyboard workstation. I play keyboard in a new band. Wondering if there is a workstation that would allow me to record separate bass, drums, guitars, etc. My reason is to, for example, play the bass guitar part on the keyboard in the eventour bass player can't make the gig. I would still be playing that same keyboard as well. So I want separate tracks for live performance in the event any one or more of the players can't make the gig.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

There are plenty of workstations out there with built in sequencers that can record and play back MIDI data, but nothing except some of the cheaper consumer models with built in audio recorders.

My advice would be to record your Bass tracks on the sequencer and play those back during your performance using the built in Bass voices of your keyboard.

Anyway, I can't recommend anything specific without some kind of budget limit.

How much you willing to spend?

Gary
