Has anyone tested a newer Korg CX3 with a neoventilator? I am wondering how much of a difference it would make in my rig sound...

I am using the digital CX3 with the Ventilator. Just disable the on-board leslie and hook it up. I've owned a number of Hammonds and leslies in years past, and the Ventilator is as close to a real 122 as anything you could imagine. With the CX3 it seems to me that some of my upper register tends to be a little over emphasized so I adjust the drawbars accordingly. I had stopped using my CX3 until I got the Ventilator, now the CX3 is back in my stage rig. It sound great with the vent. YMMV Don

I have the digital version introduced in 2003. Paired with a Leslie or a Neo Ventilator, this product is as good (and in many cases better) than any other "clonewheel" issued to date. The BX3 would be the best Hammond emulator on the planet were it not for its lack of a pedalboard and Leslie output. If neither of these omissions bothers you, it's still the best there is. But if you want to play with your feet, or plug a Leslie directly into your organ, you'll have to look elsewhere. Mini vent2. There are more clones than ever out there as of 2012, and the BX3 is still the segment leader. That's pretty amazing in such a tech driven industry.+ mini vent 2 makes it sound like a real one. Cx3-bx3.They are both miles ahead of the Hammond xk-3 as well. The original Ventilator was used by many high-profile touring artists including Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones) and Craig Frost (Bob Seger). The Ventilator II is being used on the latest tours including Dawes, James Taylor, Styx, and many other major artists. Use leslie 122 or mini vent 2.
