My "old" Mark 12 is like new, has never been moved and has always been treated with great care in my home. I have replaced the rubber contact strips under the keys several times during it's life as I play it a lot! However, as of late, while I'm playing it, it turns itself off, reboots, then comes back on. Often I can only play for about 5-10 minutes, or less, before it repeats the process. Very annoying! My hubby is a computer tech and we own a repair manual, but there is no visible damage to any of the boards. Where do we begin in replacing whatever board may be failing? I don't speak "computer", so keep it simple if you have encountered the same problem and know how to fix it! Many thanks for any/all suggestions...have yet to try a total reset.

Look for dying caps in the power supply that heat up and go unstable. Maybe a system wide recapping is in order.

Tell hubby to spend $50 on an ESR Meter.
