Mellotron and E bow sounds

So it's a string sound or a choir sound? What exactly is a mellotron. Cause there is a flute one as well

A mellotron is an electronic keyboard developed in the early 70's that uses samples recorded for each note on a series of tape loops. (You heard me. Physical recording tape looped on a playback head for each note of polyphony. )

They were clunky, delicate and extremely prone to breakdowns.

Without the Mellotron, The Moody Blues would not have had a career.

They still make them today with electronic samplers but I don't see the point on dropping the coin on an original these days when any workstation worth a damn can duplicate and surpass the instrument.

Here's the Nord Mellotron Flute. I only used on hand so I could hold my phone
But it doesn't sound bad. You can hear the flute anyway
