MIDI-Interface for monitoring with Ableton etc.

Hey guys,
I would like to use VST-Instruments with Ableton , but I only have a simple usb-cable, that has got a very big decay, so it's not fast enough for monitoring.
can anyone tell me, which MIDI-Interface I could buy, that is able to suit my purpose?
