My husband Joe was a keyboard player and just recently passed away. I have his Technics piano and would like to play the floppy disks that he made.

Hello
The type number is usually on the left of the unit. It looks like this is a SX PR .......(open cabinet)
Can you take a full picture of the top keys and buttons?
Anyway you can try this.
Power up the piano
a. insert the disk in the diskdrive. ( Push it gently all the way in untill your hear a click)
( TO REMOVE THE DISK FROM THE DISK DRIVE PUSH THE EJECT BUTTON)
b. on the disk menu (display) select LOAD ( menu shows what is on that disk)
after loading select a FILE and press load again ( song will be placed in the memory of the piano.
press the start stop button to hear what is recorded
Maybe we need more info if this didn't help.
succes
