My band uses a Yamaha PSR 730 for midi backing tracks - We put the files on a 3.5" floppy disk in order as our set list.
I am not a piano player, but I do fake my way through the songs that require piano. I use a Korg M3 for the piano parts as I LOVE the real feel key action and the sounds are great.
Looking for a keyboard / work station that can fill both of those needs in a single unit.
Would like 88 key "real hammer feel"
The M3 is a tank - I would like something lighter
It needs to be able to accept and play midi song files- SMF type 1 or 0
Hopefully not as expensive as the M3 (I am still paying off that mortgage)

Anyone have any thoughts or are currently using something that fits that bill?

Thanks

Take a look at the Casio PX-5S. Should meet most of your needs if not all of them, though you will have to transfer your files from outdated floppies to a thumb drive
