I need the L/R split so I can control the volume of the left hand. I play left-hand bass...
A girl I know who plays left hand bass/keys in a four piece
in San Diego bought a Roland JUNO-D.
It splits anywhere you want to seperate outputs,
It sounds great, and its about $500.00 brand new.
She uses the internal bass sounds alot, plus midis the left split
to a module for more bass sounds.
I remember playing the KS-32 eons ago, it had really heavy action, but some good pianos and organs for back then. and not bad strings and horns too I think...
Her JUNO-d smokes that old ensoniq, but if you're used to that heavy piano action,
you might not like the synth easy to play feel of the Roland.
BUT it does everything you wrote you would want.
Plus I think hers has an arpegiator, and those are always fun!
Hers has a really small screen like yours, but if you get the next model up,
(I think it's the JUNO-G ?), it has a large screen...
If you're on a budget, I think its a good choice. If you are able to spend a lot more,
99% of the high end boards split, and multi split, and multi layer, and on and on.
