Hi, I've just bought A Korg tr 61 workstation and completely lost as to how to load and play midi files. I have a large number of midi files created on an old Technics KN2600 and saved on SD card but can't find a way to load them or play them on the Korg. The Korg has a SD slot but I must be going wrong somewhere as i'm not a great techicnal head. Any help would be much appreciated.

I owned a Korg TR76 about a decade ago so I'm going by memory here.

First of all I'm pretty sure it had a Smartmedia Slot not a Secure Digital Slot so your card will not fit.

Secondly the USB B connection on the unit is USB MIDI Class Compliant and the way I used to play MIDIs on mine was to cue them up on a computer MIDI player and direct the output to the TR76 connected as a MIDI device.

That worked perfectly for me.

I never used the built in sequencer on the keyboard.

Gary ;)
