P-105 Pedal Stand

I just purchased a used P-105 keyboard in excellent condition with a stand that has pedals. All look new but the pedals do not function. I tried all the factory suggestions but cannot get them to work. Is it possible the owner purchased the wrong pedal stand compatible with the P-105? Thank you for your response in advance.

Try to disconnect the pedal cord from the jack and reconnect it. And don't step on the pedal when turning on the power.

I did unplug the pedal assemble from the input in the keyboard with little success. Thank you for your suggestion.
