PC3K6 Channel Noise

Hi Folks

New here but thought I would ask the question. My keyboard has always worked fine with whatever PA Mixer I've plugged it into but recently purchased a brand new Mackie DL1608 desk and the noise it picks up from the keyboard is horrendous. A continuous click and hissing sound - even if I turn the Kurzweil off. The noise stays until I pull out the 1/4" plug

All other intruments I've plugged in are just fine.

Any idea what's causing this and how to fix it?

Chris - if you revert back to another PA or mixer do you still get the noise?

Hi there, Mr CowboyNQ - I have a little Behringer amp in the same room as all the rest of the hardware and the keyboard is dead silent when plugged into one of the inputs there. This is the oddest thing ever!

Still don't really know what the problem was but the fix was to connect a Behringer HD400 hum destroyer in between the keyboard and the mixer. Hum gone - no idea what was causing it in the first place.
