Hi all! I bought a brand new Yamaha MODX 7 and after about 2 months the keyboard goes out of tune at times. Has anyone else faced the same problem?

The problem is probably the pitch bend wheel or joystick whichever it has.

Check your manual to see if there is a calibration procedure.

Otherwise if it's still under warranty bring it in for service.

In the meantime as a workaround you can always disable the pitchbend.

Again consult your manual.

Thanks Gary for the response, I already have taken it to the service center. and got the pitch bend wheel changed as well. Even after the service being done I still happen to get the same problem.

It may be a design flaw on Yamaha's part.

Slipping after two months is not a good sign. Take it back again under warranty and then decide if you want to live with it or sell it off to someone else and get something different.

I've never been a big fan of Yamaha.
