PSR 3000 with sound only through headphones, not speakers
says on the web and in the manual to just go into 'settings' or 'more settings' and turn sound back on to speakers
go in where?
lcd menu does not show anything to do with settings or more settings
keyboard reset does not solve the problem
how do I turn the speakers back on?

Do you have a headphone adapter plug accidentally plugged in?

No, I'm afraid not.
someone just seems to have turned the speaker sound off to restrict it to headphones .

If a factory reset can’t fix it then it’s a hardware problem

There are usually two resets on Yamaha’s

Hold furthest right while powering on for the standard reset.

hold B6 whilst powering on, for memory reset, but do check this in the manual for your 3000

I did both resets - one from the lcd menu and holding down the last key and no change.
I will try wiggling the headphones in and out in case this has caused the board to misread.
Failing that, unless someone actually knows if there is a way to access settings in the menu I am stuck.
But thanks for taking the time to help.
