Hi

I just purchased a psr sx700, I downloaded rgt files from the Yamaha website.

I was looking to find some more, but can only find sty files.

Can they be played on sx700, or where can I get rgt files, or can I change sty to rgt files.

Thanks

I meant to play that note!

You should be able to play most Yamaha style files on your model, although you might need or want to use a utility to change some of the voices. There are a number of utilities for Yamaha files at jososoft.dk, as well as at psrtutorial.com, and both of those sites should have links to various other locations where you can find files, utilities, and helpful information relevant to your model or similar models.

Hi Tariq
I am an SX700 owner and I'm also a psr performer on the psr tutorial site.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by TONES. I think you meant to write STYLES. Styles have the. Sty extension.
Best advice I can give you with the SX700/900 keyboards is to NOT install new styles, but rather, keep them on a usb stick.

The temptation amongst users is to accumulate many hundreds, even thousands of styles, but rarely use more than a few favourite ones.
To access usb files you can simply press the Expansion/User button to the left of your screen (or right of the keyboard for Voices which incidentally have a. Vce extension). Choose USB 01 and select from the styles or Voices that you have downloaded.
I use a 16Gb SanDisk USB stick, and it will hold thousands of styles. More than you'd use in a lifetime.

ALWAYS back up the styles on your usb stick to a pc to enable you to repair or replace them.

Hope that helps you
