Hey, I'm looking for a keyboard to learn how to play. I'm actually interested in playing synth, but seeing as I don't know anything like notes, I think it would be better off getting a keyboard and learning my way around the keys before I start spending a lot of money and fiddle with the knobs. I'm not looking to spend too much seeing as this is a learning tool, and not something I'm going to be making any serious stuff with. Can you guys recommend me any good starter keyboards? Thanks in advance!

Define "not too much money"

You basically get what you pay for.

If you shop around the Casio XW-P1 synth can be had for under $400 and you will save yourself the hassle of having to sell off a $100 beater keyboard that nobody will want to buy for more than $20 at a garage sale.
