Roland/Alesis Stack w/ Sampling LIVE...help?

I am trying to set up my stage gear like so...Roland RD 700 Main/Bottom Board and an Alesis for the top board. The tricky part is I'm gonna try and Sample and use my PowerBook G4 LIVE on stage for basically an unlimited sound bank at the touch of my fingers. I dont really have the funds for some extravagant gear so this is what I have to work with. Does anyone have any suggestions or helpful tips on the Live sampling, in real time? Will accept any advice.
