I've started having an issue with my old RD-300GX stage piano. After a few minutes of playing, everything freezes and it ignores any further input. Strangely, if I happen to be holding a chord or using the sustain, the notes will play indefinitely until I turn off the power. Not like using the sustain until the sample plays to the end, but more like an organ patch with no Note Off command--even the piano sounds behave like this. There doesn't seem to be any particular action that causes this, but it happens eventually every time the keyboard is in use.
I'll have to tackle the repair myself, since it's old enough that I can't see spending a bunch to fix it. I'm comfortable enough to try it, I've replaced caps and pots, hardwired ROM cells, etc. I just don't have a clue where to start diagnosing the problem. Has anyone else ever dealt with this?
