Roland VK-8 Is there an option for dynamic velocity on MIDI out?

I hate to say it, but the MIDI settings section of the manual is just not clear enough for me to understand. Any help is appreciated.
When I use the midi out going into a DAW, all notes are the same velocity (I get it that this is an organ). However, when I used the internal "Other Tones" for piano, it has dynamic velocity.
Is there a way to turn this on for MIDI out?

I just explained this in another thread.

Velocity is not recorded for certain instruments, (organs, bowed instruments) and it is a sign of how good the Roland's authenticity is that MIDI Velocity cannot be recognized because it does not exist for those instruments in the first place.

After a considerable amount of search and digging around. Eventually I decided to turn on a midi monitor capture device and see what everything was doing.
It turns out that when you select one of the "other tones" MIDI channel 4 begins streaming notes with touch sensitive velocity.
Also discovered additional functionality by Holding Bar Upper + Bar Pedal + Preset
This makes all preset buttons lite up, if you select Preset 3 you can use the VC knob to transpose octaves, if you select preset 5 you can use the VC knob to transpose semitones.
Hope this helps someone down the road.

Have you found in the midi capture any way to be able to use the knobs for modulation control or envelope? I notice on my midi sound module it’s receiving info when I move let’s say the amp modeling knob. Even the “d-beam” sends a midi message. That would be really great if buried in the non displayed menu you could customize these commands. TIA!
