Roland VR-09 Homemade patch upload?

I have a Roland VR-09 that I am trying to upload my own sound to from my computer. I created a little patch in GarageBand and I am trying to upload it to my VR-09 so that I can have it saved in the board for easy access during gigs. (Rather not have to play it from my computer at a show) I feel like I have heard that this is possible but I am having a hard time figuring it out and I haven't been able to find much help online. Has anyone done this? Is it even possible or am I just losing it.. Any other ideas/suggestions?
