Have purchased two of these since they came out in '92. Loved them. Now they are both wearing out due to constant gigging out of doors. (Canary Islands...dust, heat etc.)
My sole purpose is loading midi files through the computer, then using them through the Roland and then customizing and finally putting them on mini discs. (I play a lot of guitar as well...hence the backing tracks).
Can any one advise me on another model to buy (used) similar for my sole purpose.
Ideally i would love another JW 50 in good nick but they never seem to come up on Ebay.

Hi there, here are some product to check out.
Roland Sonic Cell. No keyboard on this one but contains all the sounds fron the Roland Fantom workstation, Its also a song player so you dont need your minidisc.
The new Korg M50 workstation.
The new Roland Juno Di.
A Yamaha PSR S700.
or if you can find one a Roland Discover 5.
Good luck
