Fred Coulter
Collector of ancient keyboards
I was looking at 7X key keyboards with built in speakers. (Something that I could just grab and go.) What I found was not impressive.
When I searched on Sweetwater, I found the following (with US prices)
The best polyphony I found was 48 notes, I'm not sure if any of them have standard MIDI connections, and some of them don't even have audio inputs. All in all, a very sad list.
Does anyone know of any other 7X keyboards with built in speakers, audio inputs, standard (not USB) MIDI connections, reasonable variety of sounds, and reasonable polyphony? I'm not really all that concerned about built in sequencers. I'm also not interested in detachable speakers like the top of the line Yamaha or Korgs arrangers.
