Hello, I have an SWR Super Redhead bass amp (2x10" w/tweeter) that our keyboard player (Yamaha P-155) is considering using on gigs that don't have a quality PA available.

Anyone have experience using the Super Redhead, or similar modern bass amps with EQ, active/passive inputs, and tweeter? From the exterior, this configuration looks similar to some of the Roland keyboard amps.

I'd appreciate some input on this idea, if you've tried the Super Redhead (or something similar) for a keyboard amp.

Guys ? I use a Fender Sidekick 60 watt combo for my keys - kicks out a great balanced sound across he whole frequency range - great little key amp/combo. However for larger venues, I use a Peavey 8-channel analogue mixer and power amp/ 2 x full-range speaker cabs setup. Loads to lug around and heavy too but sound is great!
