I am just a 'plonker'----just enough to play along with a few friends. I bought the 7200 because ---it was my birthday and my old technics 5000 is just tooooo heavy to lug around . The 7200 because it was (is) the only keyboard with drawbars at a price sensible for its intended use. Of course its complete overkill----but that's the issue with them all really -----beginners keyboards are, frankly, rubbish so its the only route for decent sound.
Anyway to the point. I have noted that the casio has really advanced tone control--------rather than try to buy likes of Nord or whatever at £1300 plus! to get the embedded vintage organ sounds from my beloved 60/70s ---that featured on so many iconic songs, I was thinking of those garish organs on 'z' stands that featured on TOTP- ---like VOX and Farfisa etc. IF I tried to modify sounds with casio 7200 to emulate these organs --it would take me the rest of my short life! Sad that Casio didn't see fit to include them ------but has anyone out there done so? ---if so if they could have saved them to card , I would of course be willing to pay to have them.
One other thing ---the reason I have not used it much is simply that ,for live at least, you can't control the volume of each side of the keyboard 'split' separately (what an omission!) ----unless by jiggery pokkery (set drawbars then reduce them all equally on the left).
