Transferring Motif 8 sounds to a new keyboard

I have a Motif 8 and love this keyboard. I've got a great sound bank in it. Is there any way to transfer some sounds to a newer "lighter" set of keys? It has the smart media card in which I imported sounds on to the 8. But will they work on another keyboard?

An option could be to get a Motif rack module and use it with a good MIDI controller.
