Hi guys,

I am selling my Korg Pa5x 76-key to purchese another board. Very lightly used, Mint in box with original packaging. Let me know if your interested. Open to part exchange also, Hydrosynth or Novation Summit in like condition. Selling the Korg for 3799 with free shipping. Had it on Reverb for a while but all I seen to get is wierdos or scammers!

All the best,

Reverb's screening of clientele leaves a lot to be desired.

As a buyer I've always had better luck with Fleabay.

They do a much better job of keeping the scammers out.

As a seller, my local goto has always been a national classified site, strangely owned by Ebay Canada.

No charge, free, nationwide classified ads posted for free or in paid for premium slots.

And of course there's always good old craigslist.

And if you're not facebook impaired, lots of folk selling on that marketplace these days.

Yeah, Gary. I have had some good results on Reverb but the last few weeks have made me take my listings down. Many shady people asking for "deals"... I had someone ask the other day if I would consider loaning it for a week or so?... WTF!

What?... has he finally bought a PA5X!

About 2 or 3 days ago depending on international date lines. BUT, let's wait to hear directly from the horse's mouth himself :D :D :D

What’s the national classified site you speak of? Kijiji?

Fleabay bought up the site a decade ago but it's still free to post ads and encourages people to buy locally.

Cheers, Happy. I think you hear varying tales about all these different buy/sell sites. I’m not looking to buy anything right now, but I’ll give a shout out to the Edmonton Police Service here as they have ‘zones’ set up at police stations around the city where buyers and sellers can meet in person - maybe other cities have this. The idea being that the location can bolster confidence in both parties. Also, consignment stores are worth checking out. Watch commission rates though, as they do vary.

FWIW, I bought my last keyboard from a forum member (not this forum) I’d come to ‘know’ over the years. Couple of phone calls back and forth and my Pa3X has been, and still is, serving me well.

I'm not afraid to allow buyers into my home, provided I vet them by getting a valid voice number and speak to them before I hand over my address.

Region Of Peel Police has the same service, but I seriously doubt I could properly demo a workstation by plugging into the cops' PA systems.

Take sensible precautions and have a tad more faith in your fellow humans.

3 minutes of phone conversation will sniff out the posers, no problem.
