Hi, I recently got a Yamaha Clavinova CLP-300 from my grandparents. When I turn it on, the speakers work but are extremely faint, even when the volume control is on max volume. It is this way when I play through the speakers and through the headphone jack. Does anyone know if this is an easy fix or if it is something where I would need to send the piano somewhere? From my research, it could be as old as from the late 80s so not sure if it would be worth it to fix if it was expensive. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If it's that old then the speakers probably used paper cones which are deteriorating to the point of crumbling to the touch.

My first suggestion would be to replace the speakers or use a plug in amp or a set of powered speakers and see if that improves the volume.

Gary ;)
