You're asking details about a nearly 40 year old keyboard; Mine is long gone. Have you checked with Yamaha directly about what cartridge came with the original DX7?

Long shot but there still may be Yamaha DX7 user groups somewhere. Do an internet search and if you find a group someone in the group should be able to advise you on the correct cartridge; they might even have one for sale .....

Be aware, that cartridges for the DX7 were different depending on region. Factory supplied cartridges that came with a DX7 Mk 1 in Australia were different from those supplied with the instrument in the USA (and probably Europe); it also varied with when the instrument was manufactured.

A starting point might be:-

The Dave Benson page has a lot of the voice data available... and you can use any number of DAWs and/or programs to transfer the syx (System Exclusive format) data banks from your PC to the instrument over MIDI.

Never knew that .. it does have an adapter for the 110 plug thinking now it might have been made somewhere other than the U.S .. Thank you so much for your advice ..
