I want an 88 (ideally weighted) key keyboard for my daughter. The owner is not sure of the model.

Those keys are not the full depth weighted keys by the look of the photos.

Hi, could be np11 or np12.
61 keys, not really weighted. Somewhere between a piano and a synth. But the whole thing is lightweight.
The np11 has a MIDI out, the np12 has a USB out, so check the back of the unit to see which it is. THere's no big difference between the 11 and 12 other than that.
Good kbs to start on, but the student may want to go more piano or more synth at some point.
I have used np11s and 31s extensively as MIDI controllers onstage. There cheap, light, and feel great for most band situations, but definitely lacking in the 'piano feel'.

It neither looks like an 88 key nor 76 key keyboard but a 61 key 5 octave one. It doesn't look like hammer weighted either. Why not try a Casio piano, they are 88 key hammer weighted and not expensive and good value for money.

I'm looking at the Yamaha NP32 and P45, or equivalent, which have come up for sale locally.

I've decided to let my daughter decide what's best for her. This will save me being perplexed and uncertain.

Certainly, this whole exercise has allowed me to learn a little about what keyboards and digital pianos are available. Such diversity!
