Hi everyone

I bought half a year ago a second hand yamaha mx-61, almost brand new, came with plug, case, manuals, everything.
Today, conviniently right before tomorrows gig that I have, the keyboard decides that it wants to mess with the output volume.
every Pad, Synth, Organ, or any sound for that matter plays regularly for a few seconds after being selected, but then drops down more than half.
L/R out or Headphone Jack doesnt matter, the result is the same.
If anyone has an Idea what it could be, id be glad to know.

Do a hard reset of the keyboard, or better yet save your user data and reload the operating system, then do the hard reset. This will eliminate software or program settings that could be causing the issue.

Turned it off a couple of times, didn't seem to work. Tried to look if theres a reset to factory settings option, didn't find it though. Not worried about user data cause there is none.

Turning it on an off is not a hard reset, that's just turning it on and off. Google: "Yamaha mx 61 hard reset" yields the below

If that doesn't work then reload the entire operating system from whatever media supplied (CD, USB, whatever). Then perform the hard reset again.

Here's where to find the latest operating system:
