Yamaha MX88 bass and drum buttons unresponsive

Hello all of you, I just got myself a very nice MX88, used but a beautiful thing and feeling and sounding very convincing. There is only one problem, the bass and the drum buttons don`t respond, they stay unlit when pressed, with no sound. I tried re-setting back to factory settings but it seems not to want to do so. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on here? Thanks in advance for any help!

The switches are toast. They need to be replaced.

If you're handy with a soldering iron and surface mount components, then have at it.

Otherwise, take it to a tech.

Prolly $150-$200 to do the job for you.
