I have a Yamaha p-s500 keyboard connected by USB to an ipad pro and I can use apps,. When the ipad is plugged into the keyboard the ipads microphone will not work in any app. I contacted both apple and Yamaha. Yamaha said it was because the ipad only allows one audio connection and apple said I had to turn off the keyboards microphone input, there appears to be is no way to do with this keyboard. I use ane app Ear Master to work on my rhythms by clapping on to a microphone then the app registers how well I keep rhythm and then I can play it out on the keyboard. I tried connection an external microphone plugged into the keyboard but Ear Master does not hear it. I also tried another app Audiobus and it can hear the microphone. So my question is there any way to get apps to recognize the mic plugged into the keyboard?
